Does anyone know about Thunder Valley Stables in McKean PA?
I'm planning a road trip for mid August to go to their Civil War reenactment they host every year. I'm from the Beaver Falls area, but moved to Michigan nearly ten years ago. Any help or information would be greatly appreciated on whether this event is worth the 400 some mile drive.
Not sure about the re-enactment at the Thunder Valley Stables. (I did check out the website, and frankly, it doesn't look too exciting. Sorry. Just my opinion.) But the one in Gettysburg is awesome. It runs July 4-6, however.

Two Battles each day. 145th Commemorative Medal for all registered participants. Massive pyrotechnics for all battles. Usual amentities supplied. Separate Confederate and Federal camps. Extensive living history village with presentations all day. Two Saturday night dances for all registered reenactors. Bounty paid for horses and cannons.
