Where can i find black/red checkered vinyl tiles for kitchen floor?
i really want a black and red ( a true red color)checkered floor. i'd like the individual tile to have both colors (u know, 4 squares) instead of each tile be a single color. preferably the self-adhesive vinyl tiles. i can't find a bright red and black tile anywhere. if anyone knows of anything even remotely similar to what i described let me know please. i've looked for months and getting frustrated! HELP!
you have to go to a commercial floor covering distributor and they can get you what is called vinyl composition tile or "VCT" it is the type you see in grocery stores and needs to be applied with an adhesive then waxed afterward. very nice looking in the kitchen. to get the effect that you want with 4 squares in one, you will have to cut each. a very difficult thing to do if you are not a flooring specialist, however, you can rent a "chopper" to chop the pieces exactly. it will be 4 times the work, but would look awesome.
