arguments for convincing a leading newspaper to provide greater coverage of womens sport?
looking for three overall arguments to put to a leading newspaper in the UK.
Good luck with that. Women's sports don't sell. Look at all the empty seats next time you go to a game- even if they are super athletes. That goes for US and UK. The sports editors are constrained by time and space. They don't have all the space they'd like to cover everything. (BELIEVE ME!) They often have stories that are held for days (or longer).
Perhaps the best you can count on is more feature coverage every now and then. Men's sports get more coverage because they're closely followed by more folks- men AND women.
