Which bat should i get?
I am a freshman in high school and consider myself a contact hitter. I've narrowed it down. Please give your comments on these bats and which one will be for me. FYI, i don't wanna get a EASTON STEALTH, i hate the grip and think it sounds wierd.

Ask yourself what creates power? Bat speed! Go with the lightest bat you can. Major league players have far superior strength compared to high school and even college players.
So they use a heavier bat . But they also can control it like a tooth pick. One test to see if a bat is too heavy for you is to swing the bat with your lead arm as if you were trying to hit a pitch. If the barrel drops, drags, or dips at all ...you need a lighter bat. Other than that it is just personal preference in my opinion. I would go with the cheapest bat that feels good in your hands. I have been Coaching and playing baseball for 30 years and I have yet to see any one become a better hitter because of a bat, kids share bats all the time and the ones that can hit ...can hit just as well with any bat....as long as it's not too heavy. Also about 80 to 90% of the kids I see for the first time are swinging a bat that is too heavy for them. We lighten them up right away...they gain bat speed and bat control instantly and because of the increased bat speed they can see the ball longer and become more reactionary instead of guessing. As you can tell I really think this is a major issue with a lot of kids swings that can be corrected easier than any mechanical flaw. Hope that helps
